The first time around you may have been inspired to go out,
buy a fancy food processor, bone up on your organic food
chops and actually make your own baby food. Or if you were
like me, you bought baby food at the store and shoved it
into your baby's mouth whether she liked it or not.
Either way- you need to decide what your new family
structure will allow for. Do you have time your second time
around to make your own baby food? Or have you been feeling
guilty about not going organic with your first and you want
to with your second? I am feeling a bit guilty and decided
to go organic when possible with Elkė. I definitely don't
have time to make all of her baby food. Occasionally I do
and am very inspired by certain recipes. Something as simple
as mashed zucchini with a hint of nutmeg makes her giddy,
but if I don't have time I know that I need to turn to
someone who does. An online organic baby food delivery
service.
We have been trying Jack's Harvest and love it. I have to
say, now she sort of "poo poo's" any other food that is not
from their service, or that I did not make fresh in the
kitchen. I don't blame her because why would you want to eat
peas from a jar when you could eat the greenest, freshest
peas known to man with a hint of mint, courtesy of Jack's
Harvest? Why would you want to eat store brand jar macaroni
and cheese when you could eat pears blended with parsnip?
Seriously. Babies love it and you will feel great knowing
that you are giving them pure, healthy, fresh foods.
Jack's Harvest will deliver these delicious goodies packed
in dry ice on a weekly basis if needed. You will receive the
cutest little heart shaped frozen cubes that you simply
place in the microwave for the suggested time and voila- a
gourmet meal for your tiny love. They ship every Tuesday
so get your order in by Sunday night so that you don't miss
another week of this delicious food!
Menus are available at their website and updated seasonally.
The combinations will make your mouth water and I insist
that you try a taste yourself right along with baby. You
then will understand the freshness and value that comes with
a service like this. Adding a cube to some ground up meat is
a great way to get kids to eat additional protein, or nuke
some of their organic veggies with some pasta to create some
noodle fun! For simplicity you can order Jack's Packs in
either smooth, tasty textures, or lumpy depending on what
stage your baby is eating at, and their recipes are free of
potential allergens like wheat, eggs, dairy, and nuts.
Jack's Harvest Frozen Organic Baby Food- because your baby
has good taste!
